Vietnam and Japan to strengthen cooperation on

The signing ceremony of the Technical Support Project "sustainable natural resources management" funded by the Japanese Government was formally signed in Hanoi on July 9.
Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Natural Resources and Environment Department, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Son La, Hoa Binh and Lam Dong province of Vietnam attended the Ceremony. It is a project supported by the government in cooperation with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The project is divided into supporting policies with 4 main sections, including: sustainable forest management and reducing deforestation in developing countries and emissions from forest degradation (REDD +), biodiversity and share relevant knowledge. Within five years from 2015 to 2020, the project will help strengthen the sustainable management of natural resources in Vietnam.
In addition, the project will help to protect and conduct establish institutional frames for inhabitants in Langbiang area, Vietnam.
Ha Cong Tuan, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, said that this project is very important in helping to enhance the technical support plans and promote the implementation progress of the Project "Adjustment of forest structure, forest tree breeding, improving the efficiency of processing and consumption of forest products, protection forest at lake basin, forest protection and other relevant policies." Credit programs and technical assistance projects of Japan has been supporting the restoration of forest resources, strengthening management of forest resources Vietnam to further develope.
Deputy Ha Cong Tuan stated that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam will guide and direct organizations and local authorities in close collaboration with the department of natural resources and the natural environment to rapidly deploy above projects and complete them as soon as possible.
