Japanese firm to research for organic vegetable project in Ha Nam

Mr. Yajima Takahiro – General Director of Japan Nippon Vietnam Agreen on 04/09 had a working session with Ha Nam Province’s authorities to conduct a survey on an organic vegetable project.

Mr.Yajima Takahiro – General Director of Nippon Vietnam Agreen, said that Nippon Vietnam Agreen is the 20-years-old company specializing in agriculture. After survey, the company recognized that Ha Nam, not far from Ha noi, had an attractive investment policies, especially for companies from Japan. It also had favourable agricultural conditions. 

At first, the company expected Ha Nam Province’s authorities to provide a good condition for trial organic vegetable planting by Japanese techonology and quality control process. After successful trial, the company would widen the project scale and ask for business certificate in Ha Nam.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Mai Tien Dung – Ha Nam’s provicial party committe secretary accepted to provide 2 ha in Phu Van Commune, Phu Ly city to Nippon Vietnam Agreen for the trial. This land used to belong to river which meant it has high alluvion suitable for vegetable, okra, maize. The infrastructure of this land was also available for the project.

During the trial period, the province will waive land use fees and support the company in overcoming difficulties.

Ha Nam Province’s leaders also suggested that after successful trial, the company would expand product scale, help the province to train and transfer technologies as well as techniques for local farmers. In addition, the province also committed to give the best conditions for manured manufacturers who were Nippon Vietnam Agree’s partners to build a factory in Ha Nam. 

Mr. Mai Tien Dung stressed that Ha Nam was focusing on agriculture which is one of  its 3 main tasks for its economic development in oder to increase farmer’s income during the time of building the new rural area. Ha Nam was also striving to apply modern technology in agricultural production in tadern with calling for Japanese business’s cooperation and investment in agriculture.
