The President attended the inauguration of expanding the Vietnam-Japan Steel project.

On July 24, in Phu My I Industrial Zone, Tan Thanh District, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, The President Truong Tan Sang attended the inauguration of the project to expand production of Vina Kyoei Steel Company.
 
Speaking at the ceremony, the President expressed his pleasure at the success of the project Vina Kyoei Steel after 21 years of service that has continuously developed in Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
 
Looking back at the early days with many difficulties to overcome to get Vina Kyoei premises as the present, the President stressed that the success of Japanese investors is also Vietnam's success.
 
President said that the two governments of Vietnam and Japan have signed many cooperation agreements, particularly in the industrial sector. With the help of Japan - a country with leading advanced technology, in the near future, Vietnam’s industry, especially the manufacturing sector will develop.
 
President believes that Vina Kyoei, as extensive cooperation partners, will continue to operate effectively with the project recently inaugurated; quickly and expand  phase 3 project into operation, which formed industrial chain-connected service Ho Chi Minh City to Ba Ria-Vung Tau, bringing economic prosperity to the region.
 
Licensed investment 01.28.1994 first day, with a total investment of USD 69 million, so far Vina Kyoei Steel has manufactured and supplied markets with nearly 6 million tons of construction steel of all kinds.
 
With total investment of USD 180 million, to be implemented within 3 years, Vina Kyoei has now completed construction of the second smelter, put the scale of production of the company to nearly double the previous. The new plant has been using the latest production equipment with direct rolling technology.
 
As the first joint venture between Japan and Vietnam in the field of steel production and is expected in the next 5 years, Vina Kyoei will boost production capacity to 800,000 to 1,000,000 tonnes / year to meet the needs of construction steel of the country. /.
